 If you are charged with an offense listed below, you may plead GUILTY and avoid the requirement of appearing in the court.

  1. In order to plead guilty by mail you must return your copy of the summons with your signature on the back waiving your right to trial and entering your plea of guilty.
  2. You must send a payment for the amount listed below made payable to the Municipal Court of Troy.  By State Statute court costs are incurred at the filing of the ticket and must be paid with the fine.
  3. OR, you may pay in person at the Troy Police Department at the traffic payment window.

If an accident is involved you cannot pay out of court, but must appear on the date given.

  1. Check or Money Order payable to the City of Troy.  DO NOT SEND CASH.
  2. Mail with scheduled amount and ticket or copy of ticket enclosed in an envelope.
  3. Enclose self-addressed stamped envelope for return of copy of receipt if you want a receipt returned.

REMEMBER:

FAILURE TO APPEAR IN COURT OR TO PAY BY MAIL ON OR BEFORE THE COURT DATE WILL RESULT IN A WARRANT BEING ISSUED FOR YOUR ARREST.
