Municipal Joint Drug Task Force

The Troy Police Department, in conjunction with the Elsberry Police and Winfield Police has formed a Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force.  The Task Force will be composed of members from each of the participating agencies. The Task Force will conduct the following tasks:

 

1.  The task force will perform street level drug investigations as well as mid-level and upper-level drug investigation through aggressive covert and overt operations. 

2.  The task force will support drug rehabilitation programs, such as drug court, in order to help curb the drug problem within the area.

3.  The task force will provide assistance to any requesting agency in the proper investigation, handling, processing, and disposing of clandestine methamphetamine lab operations.  This will include warrant applications as well as witness testimony as needed.

4.  The task force will work hand and hand with other task forces as well as federal authorities on large scale drug operations.

5.  The task force will share information about drug crimes which may be affected by a specific drug offender or organization.

6.  The task force will continue to supply methamphetamine awareness classes to organizations throughout the community.

7.  The task force will work closely with patrol units in the area to conduct more traffic interdiction courses aimed at taking illegal drugs off the roadways.
